Privacy

You can sign in with your email address or with Google. Either way we store your email and a username, and nothing else. If you use Google, we receive your email address and your profile picture from them, and we never see your password.

Your email is not shown anywhere on the site. Other members see only your username.

Threads, replies, upvotes, emoji reactions and any photos you upload are public. Anyone can read them without signing in, and search engines can index them. Treat the forum like a public room, because that is what it is.

You can edit or delete your own posts at any time. Deleting a post removes it from the site.

You only get the newsletter if you ask for it and then confirm from the email we send. Nobody is added for making an account or posting. Your address goes to Buttondown, who send the emails for us, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link.

We count page views through Vercel Analytics so we know which posts people read. It does not use cookies and it does not follow you around other sites. We cannot tell who you are from it.

Some links to products earn us a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Those links go to Amazon and other retailers, and once you land there you are under their privacy policy and their cookies, not ours.

Supabase stores the accounts, posts and images, and Vercel hosts the site itself. Buttondown handles the newsletter, and Resend sends me an email whenever someone starts a new thread. That is the whole list, and none of them get your data for their own use.

We do not sell anything about you, and we do not run ad networks that track you.

Email jojo@1.89.studio and ask. We will send you a copy of what we hold, or delete your account and everything attached to it. No forms, no hoops.

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
